Webinar: Handling movisens data with ease – Quality data leads to quality outcomes

Data, data and again data!
With increased size comes increased complexity, and sometimes it’s difficult to know where to begin when dealing with large datasets.
Join us in our latest webinar where we’ll provide tips and advice on how best to store, structure and work with our movisens data sets. Whether you’re a newcomer to behavioral research or a seasoned movisens user, this webinar demonstrates how to handle a big amount of data sets with ease.
We’ll discuss the composition of movisens data sets, and cover topics ranging from the correct storage of measurements, raw data checks and the analysis of the raw data using the movisens DataAnalyzer - both in single and batch mode. We'll also discuss using the movisens results files in other software applications of your choice.

DGSM: German Sleep Society

movisens will be at this year's annual conference of the German Sleep Society (DGSM) from October 28-30th and host a symposium for "Sensors and electronic questionnaires in sleep medicine - technical possibilities and applications of Ambulatory Assessment".

Sleep Monitoring in an Ambulatory Setting

How to monitor Sleep in an Ambulatory Setting?
We sleep for one-third of our lives, a process that allows the body a natural time for maintenance and repair. Overall performance and well-being depends on the foundation that quality sleep provides.
Due to the negative effects of urbanisation and industrialisation, obtaining both quality and quantity sleep becomes ever more difficult. The prevalence of poor sleep quality brings about rising occurrences of sleep disorders, psychological disorders and (secondary) disease. Thus, the urgent need for adequate tools to help researchers gain deeper insights into sleeping behaviour is higher than ever.
With this Webinar movisens introduces tools and techniques to monitor sleep in an ambulatory setting. We'll discuss different categories of Sleep Monitoring including the Sleep Detection, the Intention to Sleep, and the Sleep Quality, and showcase the Sleep Report and analysis capabilities of our DataAnalyzer software. In addition to that we will introduce the newly released Sleep report and explain its pratical use in further detail.
We're also honoured to host Johanna Ell from the University of Freiburg. She'll discuss her experiences with sleep monitoring for shift workers, and also answer viewer questions at the conclusion of the webinar.

movisens supports the asp-Young Professionals Conference

movisens is looking forward to support this year's asp-Young Professionals Conference and presents an exciting workshop on the topic of "HRV Monitoring".
The workshop will show how a contextualised picture of HRV changes can be generated by integrating objective sensor data and subjective mood queries. In particular, the coupling of the movisens EcgMove 4 sensor with movisensXS - an intuitive experience sampling platform - will be discussed, which should enable the easy implementation of an interactive study. In addition, the exclusive sensor trigger functions for experience sampling studies will be shown, that allow comprehensive interactive HRV monitoring. Topics such as the practical implementation of the measurement with the ECG sensor and movisensXS are also addressed.

24-hour Activity Cycle model (24-HAC)

Measure every minute that matters

The movisens webinar shows researchers ways to precisely access the four components of the 24-HAC model with our wearable sensor technologies. We'll focus on the objective measurement of the time-spent in every activity, the optimal wear position of our sensors as well as applying precise analytic methods to the 24-HAC model.
The lecture closes with a discussion about future applications of the 24-HAC model.
Register in time; as we all know: every minute matters!
