Since the founding in 2009, movisens GmbH developed the most accurate range of physiological sensors and data analysis software in addition to the most flexible and fully featured experience sampling platform available. Our range of sensors provided researchers the highest quality tools for recording ECG, EDA, and Physical Activity in an ambulatory setting. Incorporating a full multi-modal approach, movisens GmbH offers the most user-friendly and best-equipped platform for linking our research grade physiological sensors to our experience sampling platform movisensXS, allowing researchers to perform interactive ambulatory assessment.

A spin-off from the KIT (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, movisens quickly rose to the forefront as the leading supplier for ambulatory assessment research. Mobile EDA monitoring for interactive, emotion-based applications

Development of a solution for near real-time recording of the psychophysiological user state in the field, consisting of an easy-to-use mobile sensor system for stress-free monitoring of electrodermal activity (EDA), an embedded classification of EDA into emotional arousal, and an emotion-based human-machine interface for advanced applications of human-technology interaction.


Measuring and improving sleep quality through individual sleep coaching


The overall goal of the SleepCoach project is a wrist-worn ambulatory sleep quality measurement system (SleepWatch). The system also includes a smartphone app to assess and improve sleep quality through cause-related coaching. In addition to physiological parameters, contextual parameters that influence sleep will also be recorded using sensors and an electronic diary.
