How to monitor Sleep in an Ambulatory Setting?
We sleep for one-third of our lives, a process that allows the body a natural time for maintenance and repair. Overall performance and well-being depends on the foundation that quality sleep provides.
Due to the negative effects of urbanisation and industrialisation, obtaining both quality and quantity sleep becomes ever more difficult. The prevalence of poor sleep quality brings about rising occurrences of sleep disorders, psychological disorders and (secondary) disease. Thus, the urgent need for adequate tools to help researchers gain deeper insights into sleeping behaviour is higher than ever.
With this Webinar movisens introduces tools and techniques to monitor sleep in an ambulatory setting. We'll discuss different categories of Sleep Monitoring including the Sleep Detection, the Intention to Sleep, and the Sleep Quality, and showcase the Sleep Report and analysis capabilities of our DataAnalyzer software. In addition to that we will introduce the newly released Sleep report and explain its pratical use in further detail.
We're also honoured to host Johanna Ell from the University of Freiburg. She'll discuss her experiences with sleep monitoring for shift workers, and also answer viewer questions at the conclusion of the webinar.
