Data driven decision-making and support system for the early detection of phase changes in bipolar disorder (BipoCare)

The aim of the project is to close the largest gap in care for bipolar disorders with a data-based decision-making and support system.
As the coordinator of BipoCare and thanks to the specially developed TherapyDesigner platform, movisens is an indispensable partner in this research project. The TherapyDesigner platform is the technological and regulatory basis of BipoCare. It not only enables the creation and evaluation of studies and interventions, but also the necessary documentation for transferring the study into a medical device compliant therapy system i.e. into a digital health application.

Best student project 2024

We're so excited to announce that the best student project of 2024 has finally been chosen!

We congratulate Dennis Köstler and Philipp Thull from the Ruhr University of Bochum for winning the student project of the year award 2024 for their Masterthesis: "The Effects of Ashwagandha Supplementation in Combination with Strength Training on StrengthDevelopment and Recovery Capacity in Strength- Trained Women and Men".
Their study investigated the effects of ashwagandha supplementation - the root extract of an Indian plant - in combination with regular strength training. They examined both strength values and values for regeneration (stress/sleep).
The movisens EcgMove 4 recorded the participant's ECG and physical activity, allowing the researchers to assess stress (through heart rate variability) and also assess the quality of sleep.
They win a "Interactive Ambulatory Assessment Starter Set" from movisens! With an activity sensor Move 4 including accessories, the analysis software DataAnalyzer and a movisensXS Basic Bundle, they're now equipped for their next research project.
